DUI Statutes

Welcome

In the state of Hawaii Driving Under the Influence is a serious charge with serious consequences.  Any conviction for DUI has the possibility jail time, community service, and suspension of driving privileges.  The penalties are enhanced if an individual has been previously convicted of Driving Under the Influence.  In addition, the Department of Licensing has the ability to suspend an individual's license if he or she either (1) refuses the breath test or (2) provides a sample in excess of .08, regardless of the outcome of the criminal proceeding.

At Ison and Rome, L.L.C., we provide aggressive representation throughout both the criminal and administrative process.  There are many potential issues in DUI Cases.  Did the officer have probable cause for the initial stop?  Did the Officer have probable cause to effectuate an arrest?  Did the Officer properly administer the "Implied Consent Warnings?"  Were there any errors or inaccuracies with the device used to test the Blood Alcohol Content (BAC)?  You should hire an aggressive experienced attorney to ensure your case is handled correctly.

Welcome

It is imperative to hire an experienced DUI defense attorney as soon as possible who can help you prepare for your first court appearance and arraignment.
Moreover, if you have failed a blood or breath test or refused to submit to the test, you may receive notice of an administrative suspension/revocation action filed by the ADLRO.  This administrative suspension/revocation is separate from any penalty that the court may impose if you are convicted.  An experienced attorney can assist you with requesting and handling this hearing.
If you have been accused of or charged with a DUI or serious traffic offense, it is important to consult with an experienced defense attorney as soon as possible.

To schedule a consultation regarding your case, call us at 808-249-0088 or write to us on our website contact form today.

ALDRO

If arrested for a DUI, the administrative revocation process of your license begins very quickly. The administrative decision and hearing is entirely separate from your criminal case.  The ADLRO is the agency which decides the fate of your license and privilege to drive.  It is recommended you contact an attorney immediately after arrested to represent you through the administrative proceedings.

If you or a loved one has been arrested or charged with a DUI it is important to speak with attorney.
